Response to Divina’s Module 2 Post
Hi Divina,
Your post did a great job of connecting Backward Design and Design Thinking in a way that made both frameworks easy to understand. I liked how you explained the stages of UbD alongside the steps of Design Thinking, showing how empathy and iteration can guide better learning design. Your example of Miss Stacy from Anne With an E also stood out to me. It was a fun and meaningful way to illustrate how curiosity and student-centred teaching come together in practice.
I wonder if you could share how you might apply Bloom’s or SOLO taxonomy when designing lessons in your own teaching context. It would be interesting to hear how you would balance measurable outcomes with the flexibility of design thinking. Overall, your post was engaging and clearly showed your understanding of how planning, empathy, and reflection connect in the learning process.
